Stupidity

Stupidity

Six page letter doesn't mean a thing to you.
To me? I finally get to see the stupidity.
How I was to you when I shouldn't be,
The risks you took and chances you gave me.
I was blind, right infront of me, your plea,
Yet I still didn't see, could not flee.
This depression that took over me,
I finally get to see the birds and the bees,
But it's too late, no wonder why you hate me,
The abuse I put you through and didn't see,
The words I ignored and did not believe,
Stupidity, no wonder why you told me to flee.

Hindsight is the worst sometimes, because you wonder why you couldn't see it when it was directly before you. Great poem!

For once I get to read an honest poem about someone who is sorry because THEY were the one in the wrong, instead of the other guy. How honest. How refreshing. Thank you. And...very, very well done to, I might add.

Poetry is what is lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
