    Take It

He looks to be gentle and so very kind, but only she knows the monster that runs his mind. Night after night, she sits there in fright, as it gets harder to keep the bruises out of sight.

Once a girl with a heart of gold, replaced by a stone that now stands cold. Broken bones only made her stronger. She doesn't know if she can take it much longer.

''I'll kill you," is what she was told, and that's when his monster took control. He slapped, punched, and pushed her around. Not a word, not a peep, she didn't make a sound.

Lying on the ground with a bullet in her chest, she thought this can't be it it's only a test. She craweled as she cried, but she got to the car. Where was the hospital, she knew it couldn't be far.

She decided his fate. For him it would be too late. ''I'll kill you," replaying in her head. ''I love you," once a phrase she said.

Years came and gone, nothing was right it was all wrong. Her thoughts never stood still. Her head became evil against her will.

She searched and search till she found. Now it was time for his head to spin round. He ruined her life which she never forgave, now it was time for him to take it to his grave.

The girl she once was was no longer. The girl she is now is evil and stronger. He misplaced her from his mind, so she gained his trust in no time.

''I'll kill you," is what she was told. That's all it took and her monster took control. He saw a familiar look in her eye, it couldn't be not after all this time.

Lying on the ground with a bullet in his chest, that would be the place where he would come to rest. I'm sorry he said as a tear ran down his face. Her smile finally took its place.

As his eyes slowly became cold. She knelt down and this is what he was told. ''You ruined my life which I never forgave, so you pathetic bastard take it to your fucking grave."

Wow This is great! Was this written about you or just because.. I mean not the killing part but the other parts?? I love it and I think that people that are abused could relate to this! Great Job!

The killing part no...but i was married for 3 years in a very abusive relationship where he did try to kill me and the main reason why i wrote this is because basically it was a dream and i made my dream into a poem.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
