    A Single Tear

    Slowly her eyes close,
A single tear runs down her nose.
Her soft pink lips come to a rest.
Out of life's experiences this is the best.

    Her heart beat slowing down.
Her past spinning round and round.
    Thoughts cloud her brain,
As her tears fall so does the rain.

    Then the line goes flat,
With her hand in his there he sat.
Her final breath escapes from her chest,
It rises and finally comes to a rest.

    Slowly his eyes close,
A single tear runs down his nose.
A kiss on her hand for he knows,
It was time for his ''love" to go.

Lovingly written and obviously some one was gently let go to rest. Sad times but at the same time it is good when someone goes among people they love..

a quiet observation of a very personal time, watching the last breath of someone we love

Poetry is either something that lives like fire inside you or else it is nothing, an empty formalized bore around which pedants can endlessly drone their notes and explanations.
