That smile,
You know the one.
That beam of light,
How your story begun.

Captured you in an instant.
That burst of joy,
Could not be resisted.
That smile,
Unlike any other.
That glow of happiness,
Spread to one another.
That smile,
How you'll never forget.
That lifter of spirits,
No replacement for it yet.
That smile,
You took it for granted.
That glimmer of hope,
The sunflower God planted.
That smile,
The one you longed to cause.
That warm reassurance,
That they accept all your flaws.
That smile,
Never left unnoticed.
It was the first thing you saw,
And the first thing you missed.
That smile,
The one that left you so raw.
The one you still think of,
The one you wish to see more.
That smile,
You know the one.
