    Poem Commentary

This poem came from long periods of little or nothing to do.

    The Chat

Night was coming to it`s end,
    my spirit came to light.
    At last my resting over,
    Fairwell to the night.
    My resting at it`s end,
I wondered what the day would send.
Then awoke, thinking i want to start a trend.
    The day to be long,
I was looking for a song.
    Or something new,
    or something to do.

    I think i will call a friend,
I want to start a trend.
    Hello my friend said i,
    knowing why, going to try.
Do you have a little time to spare ?
I have an idea, if explanation you can bear.
I want to start a trend i swear.

What sort of trend, came the reply.
I said, the sort that people like.
    A solar powered bike.
    Powered by the sun,
    no pedelling to be done.
    A lazey sort of run,
    if only just for fun.

Said my friend, oh that sort of trend.
I have two hands to lend.
    What will be the cost.
After parts a bill they send,
    parts must not be lost.
I replied, we could only learn,
if it`s too much for what we earn.
    We could try another time,
    further down the line.
    When our wallets fat,
    financialy happier, how`s that ?
We carried on to our daily work,
a friend and a really good chat.
