The Comparison Of Night To A Dream

I Never post graded work but, this is one of my old old favorites I got a 22/20 but i'm curious to know what you all think.

Darkness spreads and covers the land,
All the while time flows like an hourglass's sand.
One by one more stars appear than numbers to count,
Only all the grains of sand, in all of the world could equal their amount.
Good or bad the silence night brings is golden,
In a thought, in a dream, it's possible to revisit moments time has stolen.
    A dream a dream a penny for a dream,
    Dreams are like thoughts, and memories;
They are constantly flowing like water in a stream.
They are always fading in and out....
Sometimes you find yourself wondering what it's all about.
It's like the stars and the moon,
It's clear morning will be coming soon.
So one by one they go slipping off,
Not making a sound they fade so soft.
Like the dream you only remember soon after waking,
Would remembering what it was all about make you stop shaking?
But all the while your brain keeps aching,
Still like all thoughts soon it began fading.
But enough with thoughts of what could,
Here we are, back in you neighborhood.
Just as night fades between morning's seems,
You wake from last nights precious dreams.

Personally i dont know how it makes me feel anymore.

now this one. was very gud. it kept my mind on the subject at hand and i felt the change and the comparison. it seemed like an urgency to stay asleep.

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
