The Other Side of the Mirror

On the other side of the mirror
    there stares a lonely face
    who seems to take life
    at a fairly slow pace.
    She doesn't seem to notice
that she has a lot of good
    and apparently she doesn't smile
    as often as she should.
The girl pretends that she is happy
and that life is going well
    But inside her mind
    She's trapped in hell.
On the other side of the mirror
    the girl cannot hide
from all the people she's fooled
and all the times she's lied.

Wow I feel so much emotion. This is written really well.

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
