This Was to be My Day

Bright sunlight, moisture in the air, crowds cheering
Mingling odors of beer, tequila, and wine
    Fill the tense atmosphere
    My day has arrived!!
My black shining coat glistens in the sun
I'm ready, ready for my debut
    Music from trumpets announce me
A parade of lights in my honor
    I run through the gates
My head high with pride, my body strong
The crowd is yelling “"Ole" "Ole"
Men come running, waving their capes
Men on horses chasing me here and there
I feel pain, piercing pain in my back,
    Why?
    Anger, hurt blinds my eyes
I must stop them from hurting me
More pain, poles sticking out of my neck
Slowing me down, making me stumble
    I'm tired, weary and confused
Here he comes, I must get him
Dust is flying, blood is pouring
    The pain is unbearable
    They're running me in circles
I fall to my knees, so tired so hurt
He stands before me with his shining sword
    Why?
This was to be MY day

Very interesting prospective, makes me wander if a bull, which would normally be very aggressive, would have the same unconditional love for a human as our canine friends?
