Times Are Hard

Day to Night, Dollar to Dollar, Dream to Dream
Times getting harder and nothing is ever what it seems.
The economy down stream war upstream;
Reforming! Oh what a dream!

Times are hard
40 Acres and a mule ain’t ever come easy so don’t be no fool.
You are what you eat, but you keep it greasy!
Times aren’t hard you just too needy!

Jealousy and envy still utmost on your brain.
Hating on another mans name quick to aim.
Diversity on the rise education at a high;
Still in a slumber you lie.

Living in the past enslaved by yourself.
Grieving over another mans wealth.

So wrapped up in yesterday that you forget today, therefore your future is already on its way.
Times are hard when you never leave the boulevard.
When you wrapped up in ignorance and drenched in stupidity.
You are your own humility!

Don’t blame me because I get it how I live.
You dead so you stuck putting in bids raising illiterate kids.

Judgmental is not the case this is a synopsis of your ill willed faith viewed as a disgrace.
Don’t blame it on the race.
You get what you put out so there’s always a way out!
Change don’t come easy without a doubt.

Keep your head to the sky and strive for the prize.
Work hard for what you want or it will pass you by…

Different and good but your intensity was a little low. I know you have what it takes to write a scorcher!!! I'll be waiting. El Rey

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
