    to much, to handle

    You come from school
    all excited and ready
    kids around you
    all ready to play
    he asks you to go
    and of course you do
    out to the back
    where no one is
    you look around
    its quiet and clear
    takes you behind the pool
    so no one can see
    you play in the dirt
    he sits there and stares
    next thing you know
    hes right in your face
    asks you a question
    but to young to understand
    you take off your pants
    and watches you close
    he pulls down your underwear
    not understanding
or responding to whats going on
    he touches you
    and asks you questions
    next thing you see
    he unzips his pants
    takes your hand
    and makes you feel
    not processing whats going on
    and your heart beating faster
he takes you to the lawn chair
sets you on top of him
    to young to remember
    what happens after
    you look up and see
    her standing there
    yelling
    and screaming
    she takes me away
    and sits me down
    i start to cry
    he makes an excuse
and they take it for now
my mom comes to pick me up
and brings me to wear i thought was going to be home
    in a building
    dark and scary
    i sat on the table
    in a blue robe
    they made me lay back
    as i held a bear
    they looked
    and they cleaned
    for anything
    he might have done
next they brought me to a room
where i never said one word
    i pointed
    they nodded
    i sat there in silence
    then home i went
    and never went back
things Ive had to live with
and things Ive had to fear
    never will go away
    and forever it will be
    but life goes on
and you cant change the past
    so go with the future
    and hope things look up

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
