    Tombstone Love

I've never seen a girl so fair,
    Her beauty can't compare.
And on her bosom hung from chain,
A glimpse of her I share.

Pink satin dress adorned her form,
    With lace and sequins born.
Atop her head a feathered hat
    So gracefully was worn.

Twas when I asked who this girl was,
That stole my heart from me.
The biggest shock I ever got
From a lady not to be.

Tis but my gran of ninety years,
    A spinster's life had she.
And on her tombstone she has writ
    Will some one marry me?

Very sweet; But if she's your Gran, surely Someone must've married her?? hee hee....

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.

    Emily Dickinson (1830-1886) American poet.
