    Turn (lyrics)

I am broken in pieces- Lost in sin.
What is this new longing to let you in?

My heart is in catastrophic- apocalyptic disarray-
    How can I change?

You are holy- holy, Righteous Lord.
Can you hold me tightly so I don't fall?

My heart is longing for you- begging for you. . .
What's this change? You've saved me.

The closer I get to your light- The more I am revealed.
Now I'm so close to you, Nothing is concealed.

Now- I'm at the point where the sidewalk ends,
I'm at the point where the trials begin. . .

    What will I do?
    I will turn to you.
    What can I do?
    Without you. . .

All I want is you- Savior, King-
I will sing for you forever, Your love is so freeing.

My heart is calling for you- I want to see you smile at me,
I can do nothing without you, You're everything. . .

Now- I'm at the point where my heart is bursting,
I'm at the point where there's no returning. . .

    What will I do?
    I will turn to you.
    I love you!
So I will turn to you. . .

I have fallen once again- Still captive to sin.
I want so dearly to let you back in.

I've pushed you out for so long- Will you ever come back to me?
Is there a chance at all, the you would set me free?

My heart is falling faster, away from you-
Please rescue me, my Father- What else can I do?

Now- I'm at the point where my heart needs mending,
I'm at the point where there's no pretending. . .

    What will I do?
    Bring me back to you,
    I'm broken bruised-
    Lead me to you,
    What can I do?
    Without you. . .
    I love you!
    So what will I do?
    I will turn to you. . .

Poetry is not a turning loose of emotion, but an escape from emotion.
