    A poem from the heart of a long and happy marriage.

    Valentine Advice

    Roses are red, violets are blue,

    Sugar is sweet, just hasn’t a clue.

     

    Love is far more that two rhymes in four lines,

    But an unending song that you add to through time.

     

    It’s a dance that you learn step by step as you move,

    Where each successive step is more intricate and new.

     

    It’s a word that defies all that mere language can offer,

    Like the lines of this poem that have grown longer and longer.

     

    So in closing I’ll say that to learn of this love,

    Just endure thick and thin as was planned from above.

     

    Love and commit to the end as the oldest of friends,

    Stay the course and you’ll find all that Love can Transcend.
