Poem Commentary

Its my life, my soul,my poetry and nothing more

Walls

You said I could come to you but there's a wall It could come tumbling down if you just make a step Why when i look is there no ground? I'm just spiraling futher down I smile I laugh but my tears stay in a cage Speak my name help me breathe again I need a friend when ny world falls apart but you never question what's in my heart Am I forgotten just that easily? I know I'm not a main priorety but aren't I worth more? My friend am I so easy to leave on my own? Broken in pain but remaining sane Talk to me I need a voice thats not there's But your still behind a wall that I can't take down alone I built it for protection made it strong from pride but the cracks should be enough to see inside

Deadboy, well this poem certainly takes us there, right to the center of your pain. The problem is, my friend, that love stinks. It takes so much of our time, energy and thoughts but it's a bit like randomly digging holes. Only one in ten million will uncover gold. But when they do, boy oh boy! It's all worth it. Keep digging my friend.

Thank you and I'll try but for now i feel like giving up on love in general i mean no one here sees me or wants me I'll dig another day hopefully

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
