    Poem Commentary

All mistakes in vocabulary and grammar are intentional.  I was feeling goofy when I wrote this, so sue me if it makes you laugh.

    Whomever

To whomever you are and whomever I am,
When did we go away and find ourselves here?
How did you turn back all my old fears?
How do I still get so upset knowing my old life was a dead pet?

Please show me up, and I’ll show you around.
We don’t want to go down.
Not again, not together, not apart, not ever.
Maybe our lives will go on forever.

To whomever you are and whomever I am,
Are you going with me, whenever we go?
Wanna take the shortcut in my fast car?
I still don’t know how far is too far.

Please take me up, and I’ll take you around.
We’ll go straight and never go down.
    Together forever, never apart.
Lives like water that never shall part.

Thanks for the complement! I am not prolific, but I like to think I'm at least proficient.

wow, clingy much? LOL jk! This is very romantic and heartfelt! The flow was a bit difficult, but I loved it nontheless.

I really don't usually read love poems but this one had some good words in it. Its a little confusing. Are you breaking up or staying together forever? i like the last coupleof lines a lot. Nice simile..

Thanks for the feedback. I submitted it to the contest, so I cannot edit it. There's supposed to be whitespace between the question sections and statement sections.

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
