Poem Commentary

This poem is mostly how my relationship usually ends,,, misery.. so i write them down and soon my feelings would be written down, and when i read them, memories flows back to my thoughts.

Without Sensation

This picture that we have

Is nothing but a dream.

This thing that we call love

Is just small hope of gleam.

Your love is way too far to reach

No matter how much I run

Through the sunset beach

My heart could never fix what’s been done

So how can I move on?

When you still have my heart

That still shines just like the sun

When my heart fell apart

The castle in the stars

That you and I built

Is falling down as if it came from mars

Each one collapsing into my heart

This destruction

Is like a reflection

From my dream

That turned heart dim

Where can I find this strength to move on?

To love yet again

Because my heart is stiff like a stone

That gives my heart pain

I feel all alone,

Because all I want to do

Is to be with you.

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
