    Poem Commentary

This I wrote one day when I was thinking about my father who had taken his own life in 1991.  I still feel a hurt for what he did to our family and sometimes feel that I will never forgive him.

    Would You?

If I died today, would you remember me tomorrow?
If I died today, would you be in sorrow?
If I died today, would you even care?
If I died today, would you ask how or where?
If I died today, would my happiness stick?
If I died today, would it make you sick?
If I died today, would it make you cry?
If I died today, would you ever say goodbye?
If I died today, would you go on with your life?
If I died today, would you find a new wife?
If I died today, would you still love me in the end?

I can understand where you might be coming from here, I don't fear death and i hope when i die people won't cry and even when you can't see it, you are appreciated....

I smitten by your vintage piece... Phantom Gargoyle

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
