Wrong Side of 20

-

I am on the wrong side of 20

But only in a day

No, not dreaming anymore

They have been fulfilled, i should say

-

Yes, on the wrong side of 20

Yet i can never be happier!

A lovely wife, always by my side

The smiles and giggles of a dear child

-

They say in 10 or so years life begins

Well, my life began when i met my love

It began again when we found she's with child

And now, never can i be happier!never have i felt more love!

-

Pity those who count and age through years

When old souls like me has been through more than a few

I never would hide the number of years

But only memories of happiness and tears

-

Though there maybe years that the sun does not shine bright

A gloomy cloud keeps on following me around

Or ask play with what they call fate

Well, all i can say is that I have nothing to complain

-

The years that passed are nothing but a dim glimpse

Of bad, good and better decisions amiss!

All I could say that whatever they are or may seem to be

Lessons were learned hard but gracefully

-

Look at me, do I have more lines on my face?

Yes, gained a few pounds and a little bit lazier

Pants and shirts does not fit like they used to be

Happy people eat! And happy is what I am and hope forever'll be

-

Battle scars are now worn and gone

Wounds have healed,forgiveness thrown

No regrets, nothing to mind!

As I leave another yester year behind

-

I may say, I am on the wrong side of 20

But only in a few hours, yes, only a few hours

And after this day, I will more than

The right side, yes on the right side.

The right side of 30,the right side of life!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
