Poem Commentary

Started off as a song, then fell apart as I went, so i just kinda turned it into a poem. :)

Your Turn

I didn’t mean to leave you holding on.
On and on. It shows.
On and on. It grows.

I never meant to leave you there alone.
Gone. You’re gone. You’re gone.
Drawn. You’re drawn. You’re drawn.

To...

 Darker days
Your dismay

 You’re falling to pieces
And I’m all your reasons.

 Shot like a dart.
Straight for the heart.

 And now I’ve left you.
Now I’ve hurt you.
So I’ll just leave you.

Leave you to sew up the scars.

I like what you've got here. I can see how this would be a good song. I don't think it fell apart, just needs some fine tuning. Don't give up on it.

Thanks :) I am planning on working on it more, glad you liked it and thanks for the encouragement

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
