A Letter From God

A Letter From God

Dear Child,

I want so much to speak with you.
But you don't seem to want to speak with me.
I have so much to tell you!
When you woke yesterday morning, I hoped you would talk to me.
But you were tired and simply grabbed your breakfast and headed out for the day ahead.
Throughout the day I waited, longing for you to call my name.
I wanted so badly to tell you how much I loved you, so I made sure the sun was shining at lunch time.
You sat, ate your lunch, and went back to the day's work.
So I waited.
You said your daily prayer for dinner, but you weren't really talking to me, it was more like a stale ritual that you automatically jumped into.
You got ready for bed, and I waited.
I wanted to show you that I loved you, so I made a scarlet moon shine in the sky.
But you slept through the night, and I watched over you.
All that day, through the rain that you mumbled about in the evening, from the wind that blew the grass, in the sun at lunch, in the moon at night, I told you that you were my child, and you would be safe.
Please talk to me, I have so much to tell you.
