    A NEW LIGHT..GROWTH ONCE AGAIN

    TAKEN FROM MY AUTO-BIOGRAPHY

    IT HAS BEEN SEVERAL YEARS SINCE MY LAST ENTRY, OR EVEN A FEW WORDS IN MY UNFINISHED AND AWAITING BOOK.

    STILL STRUGGLING WITH BONE CANCER, I FELL TO THE DEVIL'S FEET. MY ADDIDCTION TOOK OVER ONCE AGAIN.

    FILLED WITH LOSS, CONFUSION, PAIN AND GUILT, I WAS ON A EIGHT MONTH BINGE OF SELF DESTRUCTION.

    THE STREETS OF DARK AND UTTER SILENCE ENTERED MY TORN AND BITTER HEART.

    I REACHED OUT MY FRAGILE AND BRUISED ARMS  FOR YET ANOTHER SHOT  OF TEMPORARY INSANITY.

    THE PEACE I THOUGHT WAS FEELING ,FILTERING THROUGH MY VEINS WAS NOTHING BUT SATAN'S POISON.

    DEATH WAS ENEVITABLY AT MY FRONT DOOR.

    WHILE TRYING DESPERATELY TO CLIMB OUT OF THIS ENORMOUS, DARK HOLE I HAD DUG FOR MYSELF, EACH STEP SEEMED TO GET ME NOWHERE BUT FURTHER AND DEEPER BELOW.

    I FOUGHT THE URGES WITH WHAT I THOUGHT WAS NO HELP INSIGHT, UNAWARE THAT DIVINE INTERVENTION WAS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.

    NOW, LOOKING BACK, I AM STRONG AND SURVIVED THAT CHAPTER OF MY LIFE, I AM READY TO START A NEW ONE WITH HOPES  OF A CLEAN AND BRIGHTER FUTURE.

    I too have been there from strong pain meds they gave me for a broken back methadoneit was and a terrible fight to get off of it , finally am off it so i know the horror of coming off drugs and its the worst thing imaginable good for you dont look back!

    Beloved when ever you feel the weakness and urges come, put on a scripture CD or tape of the Bible. But a set from CBD online...I can testify that when the enemy comes in like a flood the LORD will raise up a standard against Him, as we DO what is necessary to regain FAITH...faith comes by HEARING, and HEARING, and HEARING the word of the Creator until it takes root and begins to pour over and out from us when our mind is flooded with those words of life...life begins to overflow as we are filled up to the brim. When my mind is dwelling in the land of the old and dead, and seeks to resurrect that which is buried and stinking, I go against my feelings and snap in a Bible CD or worship tape. It sets my mind back on things above and deliver me from things below, and my entire perspective begins to adjust and view thing from His perspective. When we are looking up to Heaven from the earths pulls and dominance, things seem hopeless, but when we are looking down from the Heavenlies from where we are translated by faith with accompanied actions, and seated WITH HIM in the Heavenlies, everything looks completely at our feet and full of hope and promise....(more below to comment)..

    Try this beloved...I can testify as He tells us to Be Disciples after Him, a disciple is a disciplined one who leans through daily practice to become skilled in the art of fighting The Good Fight of Faith...as we learn to exercise ourselves onto GODLINESS DAILY...we become not only well equipped soldiers, but highly focused and skilled, to where we can fight without having to think hardly as it becomes ingrained in our life and we find ourselves doing it no matter how we feel..almost automatically. Romans chapt.6, and Colossians 1:9-29, and chapt 3....Remember Yeshua=Jesus, endured the cross for the JOY that was set before Him, keeping His mind on the promise caused Him to endured all things the world could throw at Him, and He was already translated in the Holy Spirit of His mind, which lead His body to do the will of the Father and not His own will, making his judgment right- John 5:30-36....again beloved..love your honesty and open heart..thank you for sharing...talk soon...Tina.."SpiritSong"

    That's great that you kicked the habit for it's no easy task to walk away. There's always a balance yet difficult to attain. Now you're on it stay on the elusive path.
