    MY HERO

YOU ONCE CALLED ME YOUR HERO.. BUT NOW YOUR IN GODS HANDS..

I MISS YOUR RED CURLY LOCKS OF HAIR..

SHINING OFF YOUR FACE SO FAIR..

THE DAYS GO BY SO SLOW AND SAD..

KNOWING YOUR GONE TENDS TO MAKE ME MAD..

THE WAY THEY TOOK YOU SO FAST AND CRUEL..

YOU WERE MY SHINING KNIGHT OF JEWEL.

OH HOW I WISH IT WAS ME INSTEAD OF YOU..

THAT TOOK YOUR PLACE AT HEAVEN'S GATE..

THE PAIN SURPASSES ANY OF MY LONG AGO FATE..

YOU ONCE CALLED ME YOUR HERO.. I JUST WISH I OF HAD THE CHANCE TO TELL YOU THAT YOU WERE MY

    HERO.

SO SON PLEASE SAVE ME A SEAT UP IN THE CLOUDS ABOVE..

FOR IT WONT BE LONG BEFORE I WILL GREET YOU WITH LOVE..

BUT FOR NOW I WILL MOURN AND LOVE YOU MORE..

UNTIL I FIND OUT WHAT'S IN STORE..

YOU ONCE CALLED ME YOUR HERO.. BUT YOU NEVER KNEW YOU WERE MY HERO. AND WILL BE FOREVER MORE.

I LOVE YOU SWEET SON FROM ALL THAT I HAVE..

    MY HERO FROM UP ABOVE.

poignant. Very nicely put. I'm sorry for your loss. I understand what you mean about the "hero" relationship with a child. i have 2 myself and i find myself in awe of them at times. I enjoyed this.

My experience with my son can't even compare to the pain and loss that you have gone through. This was well said. and I hear the depth of your emotions in the words you write...so so sorry. God bless you.

thank you for your kindness, your friend jodi

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
