Alone
I’m face to face with my fear
It’s senseless in every way
This fear is silent and appears to me every day
It’s not friendly nor even mean
The only way to escape my fear is to close my eyes and dream
In my dream is an image of you and me
You’re walking away
I stand helpless watching you flee
I shout but you pretend as if you where deaf
You don’t even realize it was me you just left
You continue to walk away & don’t even look back
Now even in my dreams its you I lack
In this dream I never do catch up to tag along
I shed my tears, walk and stay strong
I look back to see you disappear
Alone I am
Alone my fear.
