    Social Parade

Social parade walking down the street
Planning my fall and awaiting my defeat
Your marching tune has taken my pride
Lonliness and hate will never subside
Words are the instruments that lore everyone in
The music plays and its clear you’ll win
My parade never makes it to the street
Amusement is what you get from my defeat

My tune will never be heard
Instruments broken I say not a word
My music will never get the chance to play
I fall and your parade leads the way
    Social parade leaving me out
You flow down the street and I’m stuck in the drought
    Social parade passing me by
Your tune floods my ears leaving me to cry

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
