    Angel in the Rain

Water is falling from the sky
and slowly sliding down the panes
    I walk outside to purify
my thoughts till only one remains
As rain streams slowly down my skin
and chills me right down to the bone
Don't know where I begin or end
Where I have been or where i've gone

I'm lost and it's raining, raining again
i'm stuck outside with no way in
will somebody help me, a lover or friend
does anyone care where I have been?
I'm lost and alone, alone on these streets
the rain and my heart are the only two beats
i'm hoping she'll find me, my lover I'll meet
If only that happens, this walk will turn sweet

A careful hand runs down my spine
I turn and find my love is here
Her perfect lips form upturned line
I reach to her and pull her near
Before the rain had felt quite cold
but with her close the warmth returns
My lover's here, her presence bold
and within me a fire burns

An angel has found me so kind and so pure
I know that through time our love shall endure
Where once I was lost, Im not lost anymore
She's kindled up feeling I've felt not before
And still it reains all throughout our hug
and all feels right through our small world
Her presence there's my brand of drug
Where once was cold, warmth is now swirled

I'll ask you a question, How lucky am I?
to be graced with such beauty, such love in my life
No one can know, can know my love
for this heaven sent angel from above
She's an earthbound body heaven sent
it's with her that my life is spent
If she leaves my heart shall be rent
By the earthbound Angel heaven sent

    Everythings perfect in my life
holding her form within my arms
never has love has just felt so right
never have I been so far from harm
but all too soon it seems we part
forced by life to go our own way
she always lives on in my heart
and that is the way it shall stay
