    Angel in the Rain

Water is falling from the sky
and slowly sliding down the panes
    I walk outside to purify
My thoughts Till only one remains

    As rain softly carresses skin,
    and washes away grief bestown
my mind turns to thought it wants penned
to show her how my love has grown

A careful hand runs down my spine
I turn and find my love is there
her perfect lips form upturned line
I reach to her and pull her near

Before the rain had felt quite cold
but with her close the warmth returns
with measured breath her scen is bold
and within me a fire burns

    Held together in warm embrace
there seems nothing but her beauty
Her head it turns to kiss y face
and all is well, in harmony

And still it rains all through our hug
and my heart feels like it will burst
Her presence ther is like a drug
so with this drug I'll quench my thirst

And all too soon it seems we part
Forced by life to go our own way
She always lives on in my heart
And that is the way it shall stay

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
