    Mountain Fed Memories

    The stars shine down
    casting shadows far and near
    you're not around
but I really wish you were here

    The scent of pine
    intermingles with mountain air
    it fogs my mind
all my thoughts are so unclear

    Why are you hiding
    where you can't be seen
    the starlight is fading
    as you enter my dreams

    The silver streams are
    twirling and swirling
    and fading away
    as night turns into day

    This dirt packed trail
    brings back memories of you
    and as I walk
I hope to find you anew

    I reach the peak
scan the new found mountain view
    wish I could sneak
back to my dreams to find you
whirl you away just you and me
    together for eternity.

If I feel physically as if the top of my head were taken off, I know that is poetry.
