Poem Commentary

getting picked on in school.

Criticism

I shy away and you laugh.
You laugh at my clothes, shoes, and body shape.
I shy away and you whisper.
You say, "there goes thunder thighs".
I shy away and wish I was popular.
I fall to the ground; you laugh.
You find every thing wrong about me.
You find nothing right about me.
All you know how to do is criticize.
You never think how I feel or what I think.
What would you do if you were me?
How would you feel if I treated you like you do me?
But that is just the facts on criticism

This poem is really good. It really shows what its like to be bullied. You describe it very well, but I might have changed a few of the phrases so it would be less redundant. Good work though!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
