Don't Hold Back

Poem Commentary

Um . . . About this girl I knew. . . Know. She was different. And I never knew how to act around her. She told me she wanted to tell me something, but was too afraid to tell me.

Don't Hold Back

Why are you lookin' at me that way,
When are you going to say
All the things that you wanted,
So don't hold back,
Don't hold back,
Everything you wanted to say

  Because I'm not holding back,
Anymore in front of you,
I never liked you calling me sweetie,
Never liked the baby girl,
Just didn't know,
Never knew,
How to react in fornt of you

  But I'm not holding back,
Never holding back anymore,
So, don't hold back,
Don't hold back,
Everything you wanted to say

When are you going to say,
All the things that you wanted,
I don't want you to hold back,
Don't hold back,
Because I know you don't want to

Maybe I won't know what you wanted to say,
So, tell me right now,
Tell me straight up,
But most of importantly,
Don't hold anything back.

"But mot importantly don't give up" is what i was thinking. Almst lke a sonnet, full of desire to help. Tongue tied, would have been my title. Goodwrite.

Heh, yeah. But, the whole thing was for her to not hold back from me anymore, because I'm tired of it. Thank you (:

The true philosopher and the true poet are one, and a beauty, which is truth, and a truth, which is beauty, is the aim of both.

Ralph Waldo Emerson, American Poet (1803-1882)
