    EASY STREET
    Some say there is an easy street
    A place where you can pretend.
    Having anything you want
    Not careing how much we spend.

    So I'm looking for the maps
    To these roads we want to take,
    And live the life on easy street
    A choice that we will make.

    This place, they call it wonderful
    Just imagine what lies ahead,
    Traveling down this easy street
    No road signs to be read.

    But just a little warning
    Even as we pretend,
    A life that's lived on easy street
    Will have It's own....dead end.

    I was falling in love with Easy Street in the beginning because I got lost in the fantasy but your last line brought us all back to real life. Thanks for writing this. Anything worth having is going to be hard work.

    This is a wonderful poem, with gentle a suggestion for the reader to take precautionary measures before they endeavor to do something...Hmmmm, and Uncle Corey was a tad put off on this one....hehehehe. I'll remember this. HAHAHAHAHA!!!

    This poem was written while I was a POW in Vietnam.(3& half years) My life was comming to a dead end as sooner or later all life here will come to a dead end. Only to begin a new life that will never have a dead end street.Thank you so very much and may God Bless You ABUNDANTLY.
