    Poem Commentary

This is an old poem that I found in my collection and thought that i should share

    Falling Behind

I’m falling behind because you don't know how to be yourself

While everyone around found love, you still need help

    I can say so much

    I can give so little

I am not use to being happy because it was never given to me before

And if I force anything it would not be as I plan

So I wait for whatever is ready to hit me

I will soon doubt myself again

Since some things seem too good and happens too fast

I wish you could have my eyes for one moment

So you could see that sorrow I lived

Sorrow that seemed like an eternity but ended in a blink of an eye

Again I wish you were here

So you could see what I have become

How happiness has given its grace

How I look forward to being awake even when dead inside

Poetry is not the expression of personality but an escape from personality.
