    For Old Times Sake

I am feeling what I lost today

    For old times sake

I tired of carrying a heavy weight because I already feel guilty

    And I already said sorry

I thought I would be fine when I knew the truth

    But everything feels the same

    Our hopeless faith

    I want to get away

Fairy tales belong in the garbage

It’s not the fact that I waited for so long

But that it’s not what I wanted

    It’s the whole truth

    We pray for a sign

For something to make a difference

To put a smile on our face

To fill the dark rotten hole

Only half of that has cross my path

I am feeling what I cried today

I mourn for the return of happiness

And when it came to me I found new sorrow

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

    Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
