Frail Heart

    Frail Heart

You are so sweet, so kind

    So gentle to the touch

It is frightening to see how much

    But sometimes in my mind

    It can be too much

     Am only so tough

    So scared for my heart

    You make it sail

    Before you tear it apart

    Remember it is so frail

Do not know what I am to receive

Do not know if I am ready for your kiss

    Not sure what to do

    This you can believe

My heart may not  be ready for this

What if I start to love you?

    The thought makes me shiver

So before you tear it apart

    Just try to remember

    I have a frail heart

So when I am lying in bed

And you feel a little earthquake

    Do not get scared

The world is not falling apart

    It is just me instead

    No tknowing what to make

    About someone that has cared

About me and my frail heart

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.
