    I Am

I am the product of a failed marriage
I am the love they threw away
I am a single teen mother
I am a sad country music song
I am a tear on a rainy day
I am looking for the one
Though he may not be there
    I am nothing without him
I am tiny hands holding mine
I am a cry in the middle of the night
I am a warm bed when he has nightmares
I am a leg to hide behing
    I am my mothers rock
I am trying to get away
I am hair dye to change my identity
    I am loving my marine
    I am everything
I never thought I would be

It's a tough road ahead for you my dear, I know you wouldn't trade your child for anything. but to be a mother at such a young age will create many challenges that you should have had to face until later in life. I really enjoyed you poem, I could feel the pain you felt in its creation. I hope things only get better for you dear.... Well done.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
