    Unsheltered Love

I am sheltered from all that causes me pain
    Except for love
    Unsheltered
    I can love
    Unsheltered
    I can be loved
    Unsheltered
    We are inlove
E love you and you love me
    Susceptible to all the pain
    That comes from unsheltered love
    Susceptible toall the happiness
    Pleasure, and comfort
    That comes from unsheltered love
I will try to hold back my anger
    To not release my pain
To shelter you form my love
So you can still love me

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

    Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
