    When I was scared to get hurt just one more time
    You took me by the hand
    And you promised me
    You would always be mine
    You promised I could trust you
    That I could be you one and only
    That I was safe with you
    No matter what would happen
    You would never let go
    You spend the rest of your life
    Holding me close
    So I could love again
    You promised I could love you
    Without being scared
    I could love you with all my heart
    You would take away my cares
    You took me by the hand one day
    You asked
    Can I teach you how to love again
    I said baby
    You already have
    You
    Taught me how to love again
