    Poem Commentary

    While writing this poem, the strangest occurrence happened. My printer printed everything but the line saying he died. It was as if that line never existed in the poem. So I went ahead and tried printing it the second time and this time it did print the whole poem. This poem was published within an anthology of many different poems, a couple of years ago.

    In Remembrance Of Mike
    This is dedicated to my friend Mike,who passed away from cancer.


    I had a friend named Mike
    Whose astrological sign was cancer too!
    But now he's gone
    And I'm feeling very blue!
    He died so young
    Not even 45
    And I wish he were still here
    But still we must survive

    He left two small girls
    Now without their Daddy
    So I hope he'll be able to see
    How they turn out to be
    When they're all grown up!
    And it's such a tragedy
    When it all ends like that
    Why must it be that way?

    I read the poem it was okay as poems go however I see very little foundation. I have been feeling rather blue myself maybe it is something in the air. Through much soul searching I have realized that death is always here. Psalm23 even tells you that

    The infamous question "Why?" Is there ever really an acceptable answer? We just deal with death the best way we can. I havent had anybody close to me die (knock on wood) so I dont know how I would react. Thanx for sharing this poem
