Writer's Block

Writer's Block

When your words become
Pure garbage to the eye
Give it up
Don't even try
Take a breather
Then just maybe
You'll write much better
Than you did anyway
Remember we all just
Sometimes get stuck
Can't think of the words
Stuck in a verbal rut
But don't you fear
It's not all gone forever
Just a simple lapse of memory
That won't last forever

When in the chatroom poets get frustrated over writers block, i always tell them they should write about having writers block in jest. Then there it is. I love it. Great work

Ah poetic advice on poetics Love it!!!

When power leads man towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the area of man's concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses.
