let go to fly, into another day

some times we need just let go
why hold something that burns a hole that plunges into our hearts?
why can't we just let go?
do you see the rivers end?
do you see the mountains?
do you see the great plain that she gave you on the day of your birth?
why must you cry again, what do you gain from that path what things come true from love? what does dispair bring? well i have answer but only those who truely seek peace can have happiness we are all alike but yet we are all so different but yet we are so connected..... words seem to be the bridge into my world and into yours so why not hold hands and walk through this highway we call life?? why not just drift away into another day inside our minds we can have any thing we can have true peace, only those who felt true pain can feel true peace- but true pain is letting go of our desirers, our true loves, our true dreams... why follow in anothers path when you can walk your own? so why not just let go to fly away into another day

Nice poem my Virginia friend. Very thought provoking. I like the message and the passion with which it was written. Thanks so much for sharing it... K

a very nice poem with very truth words i thought it was very deep

Poetry is not an expression of the party line. It's that time of night, lying in bed, thinking what you really think, making the private world public, that's what the poet does.

Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997) U.S. poet.
