Love's Mystery

Poem Commentary

This is a poem I wrote for my friends Boy and Lyn, childhood sweethearts but parted ways and met other loves. After more than 35 years, they met again, widow and widower, renewed the lost love and now together again.

Love's Mystery

Love's Mystery

So many lines have been written
about great love, it's mystery;
Some quiet hearts have been troubled
when love conquers where it shouldn't be.

It's mystic touch has caused some pains
and brought some lives to misery;
It ends some love to pave some ways
for other love to meet and see.

Love's a wonder! so magical!
And it's so deep as an ocean;
It climbs mountains and walk valleys,
it strolls the plains and flies the sky.

There's no excuse, there's no reason
just shoots your heart like loaded gun;
Sometimes lasts like eternity,
leaps great distance, brings back lost time.

Such is the love of Boy and Lyn,
Theirs is as great as history;
While it started as a hearthrob,
it turned into a destiny;

No measurement of how it comes,
No rational why it must be,
It's just great love and nothing more,
Now it's their time so let it be.

love is alot of things but I don't think it's compatible as an existence. some last but of course they have their troubles and you never realize what you have until it is gone. which makes love last eternally because you miss that person so much. but while you're alive it's hard to defined what love is because most people are over thinking it.

Thanks for your appreciation. Love is ndefinable, actually, but sometimes, it really as whata cliche says, 'moves in some mysterious ways'. I have seen ths happened so many times. issing the person you love is part of lovng too, it still exists, not physically, but that's love's mytery. It is not in the mind, it is in the heart, that's why you feel the pain, the loss, the agony these are but all parts of loving....

Poetry is what gets lost in translation.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
