MY BEAUTY

Consuming these thoughts that keep running on through my mind for everyday it is like a burning endless fire that won't burn out. Though as they run on I cannot even come to take hold of one for it burns through my body. But then I realize what if I take hold of one, for it burns through my body. But then I realize my body then I come to realize what if I take a hold of one? What then will happen? Will I then be able to know then realize, will I be able to handle all the pain of it that I will intake? To deal with it is hard, for I am so used to my burning fire. I am scared to feel the relief of water. One day it will happen, and then my life will become beautiful instead of burning in this fire which consumes my thoughts for that is my beauty I feel and dread to face upon my every awakening.

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
