    My Dearest Friend

I am trying now to open my heart,

I want you to see a special part.

You are my best friend, I hope you know.

With every new day that comes, I try to let it show.

There are so many things you and I have shared over the years.

We have shared laughter, happiness, hurts, and all those tears.

When I needed advice you always came through.

Sometimes it is not exactly what I wanted to hear, that is true.

When I need a kick in the butt, your always the first one there.

I know the reason why is because you care.

When I fall flat on my face and I need a helping hand.

You, my friend, are always there to do what you can.

What I am trying to say is, I love the joy you bring.

When I think of our friendship it makes my heart sing.

To put it plain and simple, "Thanks, I love you".

All that I have said and much more, are all true.

With this I tell you, you are my best friend.

This is a friendship that will never end

A beautiful writing to your friend, honorable and uplifting, nice to see you opening your heart to share what you want to say. A best friend is often one who can remain outside the boxing ring not stealing your potential victory, rather one who gives you tips when you might be blindsided by your opponent or sometimes just some fresh cool water to wash the blood away and encouragement for the next round.

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
