Pillowtalk

You said, I'm afraid to die
I said, why baby why
Would it make you feel any better
To know that some things do last forever

You said, it's not me that I'm thinking of
But of you and your next love
I said, wouldn't it be funny, honey
If you outlasted me

You said, that scares me the most
To see my shadow — your ghost
I said, when that time finally comes
Know then, we'll go together as one

Love's always a beginning,
Love's always an ending
And so long as we have another day
Then I'm not giving anything away

You said, so it was all a dream
I said, so it would seem
But who really knows,
In a breath, life comes and goes

You said, I'm glad you're in mine
I said, shhhh — now's not the time
Nighttime's not for this,
But for the moments between a kiss
