Poem Commentary

For those with eyes who can not see

Poor Reflections

Looking in the mirror,

You hate what you see.

So you live in your lies,

Hiding from reality.

You seem eager to learn,

But can’t comprehend.

Truth holds your fears,

And will never be a friend.

You put on a good front,

Hoping no one will know.

You’re lost in deception,

Praying it doesn’t show.

Maybe it’s your past,

You’re trying to hide.

Perhaps you’re confused,

Down deep inside.

You do whatever it takes,

To make yourself feel good.

Taking the wrong path,

Instead of the road you should.

Your truth is delusional

And you still remain blind.

So look into that mirror

At who is fallen behind.

Thanks friend once again! This was another written for people who run from themselves and just don't like who they see in the mirror. I guess we all do that from time to time. Jesus likes what He sees and we should always remember to do the same. Regardless how bad it looks. Thanks again, Gary

In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite.

Franz Kafka (1883-1924) Czech writer.
