    Poem Commentary

    I remember when my grandmother always would tell me stories. She still does. She always tells me to remember pretty is what pretty does.
    So that is how I got the idea and wrote this. It's true. No person would like or want to be around some evil brat like the first girl. They would like and want to be around a nice girl like the second girl. So I wrote this poem     about that.

    She looks at the sky what should she do?
    Is she pretty or not you can find out by testing her heart

    She looks beautiful
    Some people say she is but she's not
    She's evil and mean to me and some people
    She always wants her way
    That is ugly to me because...

    ...Pretty is what pretty does
    If they are mean and do bad things that is ugly
    Like her, who is wondering what to do
    She needs a better attitude

    Pretty would be a person who does good things
    Beautiful or not
    Pretty is what pretty does

    Another girl looks up at the sky
    She is resting at the beach
    She's also wondering is she pretty or not

    She's pretty in looks
    She has an amazing personality and attitude
    She does amazing good great things

    In my eyes that girl would be beautiful
    Because Pretty is what pretty does


    So always remember oh oh
    Pretty is what pretty does.
