The Snake

The Snake
2009 poem

The snake comes in many different shapes and sizes
It will slither all day
or takes a rest in the sun if it gets tired

Many colors
Many shapes many sizes
Many types
Many personalities

Vicious
Strong
Sometimes poisonous to

Scary
Cool
Many, many personalities of the snake

Fast
Long
Big
Or strong

It's all about the slithering snake.

The End!

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
