    • It's been a few years since I've checked in..... Looking forward to reading and writing on here again.

    reborn

my face leaked and dripped from the nose and eyes
the valve of emotions caused a burst of water to surge. sprinkler of the soul,
heart was cleansed and danced in and out with rhythm,
    the neighborhood rejoiced
we stood there, many but one whole,
    admiring the beautiful rainbow.
we listened with glee to the songs of laughter coming from the speakers of children.
reminiscing on old times with oral descriptions
    of the past we shared.
    it was beautiful,
the love that emanated from our common unity.
affectionate glances directed at one another,
    we melted.
i opened my eyes and gave a prayer of thanks for my life and what lied ahead.
i looked around this prison cell and was grateful
    for the solitude it provided.
silence caressed me and smothered me
    like a soft quilted blanket.
i am in the womb entering the third trimester., i'll be out soon a new born into a beautiful world of light.
feel my movements, i am growing.
