Rememberance

Do your remember the butterflies?
that electric shock shared between us both,
when our eyes met,
it jump started our hearts and created an addictive energy,
that i once associated with happiness,
it changed the way i saw the world,
and in that moment it created who i was,
and what i will always crave,
and you will always be a part of that,
you will always be fall,
when the breeze feels as though it cuts into my soul,
sending a helpless smile to my lips,
in those short moments as i feel the slight warmth of the sun,
my body tingles and its as though your with me,
ill close my eyes and im 17 again,
hand in hand on the bay,
innocently learning i was falling in love and life...
life has never been as beautiful as that day,
fall reminds me it was real,
its as though mother nature created a time capsule just for me,
releasing it once a year, reliving those bittersweet memories.

A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. It finds the thought and the thought finds the words.

Robert Frost (1875-1963) American Poet.
