Rolling Hills

Control, fear, love, and pain;
Throughout the years these emotions have reigned.
Lust, hate, friendship, and sorrow;
Forever have been true; they still will be even tommorow.
For all the good and all the bad, these emotions have left a hollow inside of me.
I don't know what will be next; I guess I'll just have to wait and see.
My mind is in a daze, lost somewhere,
Admist rolling hills, but I know not where.
Reason has eluded me, it's gone far away.
I don't know what to think anymore anyway.
So, under my rock is where I'll be,
Alone with my thoughts, in some imagined serenity.

I noticed several of your pieces are from a few years back and involve a lot of angst, and pain, and indecision about what you were doing, or maybe where you might be going at the time... i hope things have perked up and you're past all that, so life now has a better meaning for you....

Poetry is finer and more philosophical than history; for poetry expresses the universal, and history only the particular.

Aristotle (384 BC-322 BC) Greek philosopher.
