Saving Soul

Saving Soul
I am sorry I was late
At seeing feelings new
I had never felt before
The feelings that I grew
When you caught my gaze that day
And I saw your eyes
You saw me for the world to see
My truth and all my lies
So I ran and burnt a bridge
A bridge I can't rebuild
A bridge I need to save my life
Without you I am killed
Too small too late inside
My heart is just as dead
I showed the pain the path to hurt
To my heart the pain was led
But as I see you in my heart
I know you feel it too
You know I'm lost without my love
The little things you do
And so a spark was made
From a tempest that had burnt
I know the love that I could feel
Is anything but earnt
You are, my love very hurt
I know you're apprehensive
But love will carry on to love
Tenacious and defensive
Mistakes are that which break a man
A man which sees anew
That my mistake was all the time
I didn't spend with you
I am sorry I was late
At seeing feelings new
I had never felt before
The feelings that I grew

When you caught my gaze that day
And I saw your eyes
You saw me for the world to see
My truth and all my lies

So I ran and burnt a bridge
A bridge I can't rebuild
A bridge I need to save my life
Without you I am killed

Too small too late inside
My heart is just as dead
I showed the pain the path to hurt
To my heart the pain was led

But as I see you in my heart
I know you feel it too
You know I'm lost without my love
The little things you do

And so a spark was made
From a tempest that had burnt
I know the love that I could feel
Is anything but earnt

You are, my love very hurt
I know you're apprehensive
But love will carry on to love
Tenacious and defensive

Mistakes are that which break a man
A man which sees anew
That my mistake was all the time
I didn't spend with you
